About Me

Obviously my name's not Chalgyr (it's Nick) - that being said, I've used that screen name for about a decade and a half now online and most of the searches out there on it point right back at me.  So, who am I?  Typical guy - married, in my 30's, 3 kids ranging from mid-teen to nearly-teen.  I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember, with my first system being a TI99/4a.

Video games have been my primary pastime every since, and my patient, unbelievably understanding wife puts up with (and sometimes even enables) my video gaming interests.  Some of my kids have picked up on the video game bug (my younger two in particular) while my oldest and wife only play games occasionally.

I studied journalism in college - with an editorial emphasis and a focus on sports.  In my spare time, I do a lot of writing - mostly fictional stuff that only my wife gets to see, and largely based on the fantasy world we created for our MUD.  What does that mean really?  That I like to write a lot.  I'm no necessarily all that great at it, but I enjoy it and is has a lot to do with me running a blog like this.

My hope with this blog is to talk about a variety of gaming topics, from reviewing titles I have played, to deals I might be aware of and whatever gaming thoughts come to mind on a given day.

I have been working in Tech Support for a software company for years now, and have quite a few classic gaming systems and most of the newer ones.

I'm always willing to review games if they are passed along to me and if you too have a gaming site or blog, I'm more than happy to exchange links as well.
