I'm a big fan of video game music. I'm not going to lie - I listen to all sorts of different sound tracks while I'm reading, writing, working on tech support cases at my job and more. The Elder Scrolls have had some of my favorite songs, and while you may have seen her videos on Youtube, I really, really liked both of these covers and figured I would share them in case you had not yet heard them.

I used to love these songs, and then I took an arrow to the knee.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, these covers are great. It's good to see video game music gaining a cult following!
My blog's first arrow to the knee! :P Love the game, and I agree completely. I've been enjoying 8-BitNick's podcasts as he has been featuring some cool tunes on that as well. My daughter just picked up Skyward sword the other day and was very excited to see the music CD in it. All in all, I agree - it's very nice seeing the music of gaming becoming more prominent. Thanks for the comment, Strikester!
ReplyDeleteWow she is actually really good! I got started in Skyrim a couple weeks ago, I love that they chose to use the main overworld theme from Morrowind with a beefed up chorus this time around.
ReplyDelete@Rob - Yeah, I saw a link to those videos and had seen several other covers of Skyrim songs, but these two were easily my favorite.
ReplyDeleteAh... Morrowind - good times. :) I started playing Skyrim on my PC around Christmas. I've been juggling so many games that I'm just not as far into it as I would like at this point though, but the soundtrack has been amazing so far.
Thanks for following and commenting!
Haven't really played Skyrim yet, my friend showed me about a half hour of gameplay though. Can't wait to play it.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I was really dropping by to say I linked to ya on 8bitcity.blogspot.com, and keep up the good posts!
@8bitcity - Thanks for coming by! (and for the link back, I already have you on here - really enjoying your blog right now!).
ReplyDeleteI have to say there is so much to see and do that I just love roaming Skyrim and doing side quests and exploring right now. I'm sure I'll have a review with much deeper impressions soon though. Thanks again for the comment! :)
